Probate
When someone dies their estate has to be “administered” by an executor. This is a formal legal process where all the person’s assets (property, cash, valuables etc) need to be valued for inheritance tax purposes. Once any tax due has been subtracted from the total, the executor will then carry out the provisions of the will.

How we can help
- We can do everything for you which many people find beneficial and comforting at what can be a very emotional time.
- We can act as a co executor. This entails working (usually) with a friend or family member. This means that things can be sorted out more quickly as we have the contacts and expertise and it also helps to minimise potential family disputes.
- We can deal with contentious probate matters, either on behalf of the estate or those contesting a will.
- We can administer, according to current law, estates where no will has been made.
- We deal directly with the Inland Revenue about inheritance tax due and ensure that not a penny too much is paid out.

If any assets are converted to cash we keep that safe in a client account and that is paid out to the beneficiaries once the estate has been finalised. |
